Bir İnsan Hakları Mesleği Olarak Sosyal Çalışmanın Temel Unsurları

Abstract

Sosyal çalışma; ihtiyaç sahibi bireylerin ihtiyaçlarının aynı zamanda ve esasında bir hak olduğunu, bu haklarından faydalanmalarının ve onların haklarının güvence altına alınmasını savunan bir insan hakları mesleği olarak kabul edilir. Sosyal çalışma, insan haklarını referans alarak akademik disiplin çerçevesinde teori, etik, değer ve uygulamayı bütünleştirerek mesleği ifa etmektedir. Bu çalışma, Silvia Staub-Bernasconi’nin “sosyal çalışma bir insan hakları mesleğidir” tezini merkeze almaktadır. Söz konusu tezi, sosyal çalışma mesleğinin “görev anlayışı” ile ilişkilendiren argümanlarla desteklenmiş ve sosyal çalışmayı bir insan hakları mesleği haline getiren unsurlar incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuç bölümünde ise insan hakları temelli sosyal çalışmanın değerlendirilmesi yer almaktadır

Fundamental Elements of Social Work as a Human Rights Profession

Abstract

Social work; It is regarded as a human rights profession that advocates that the needs of the needy individuals are at the same time and essentially a right, that they enjoy these rights and ensure their rights. Social work performs the profession by integrating theory, ethics, values and practice within the framework of academic discipline, with reference to human rights. This study centers on Silvia Staub-Bernasconi's thesis "social work is a human rights profession". His thesis was supported by arguments that associate social work with the "sense of duty" and the elements that make social work a human rights profession are analyzed. In the last part of the study, there is an evaluation of human rights based social work
