Probiotics and Immune System in Childhood

Abstract

Abstract

Probiotics have effects on both innate (the initial immune system to pathogens)and to adaptive (immune system recognizes) immune systems. In non-specific immunity, they increase mucin production, inhibit growth of potential pathogens, decrease intestine permeability and increase activity of natural killers and macrophages, and increase phagocytosis. In adaptive immunity, they increase the number of cellssecreting IgA, G and M; increase specific secretory IgA in serum and intestine andregulate intestinal immune response.

Probiyotikler ve Çocuklarda Bağışıklık Sistemi

Abstract

Öz

Probiyotiklerin ilk (patojenlerle ilk karşılaşma sonucu ortaya çıkan yanıt) ve adaptif (hatırlananlara karşı gelişen immün yanıt) immünite üzerine etkileri vardır. İlk nonspesifik immünitede müsin üretimini arttırırlar, olası patojenlerin büyümesini inhibe ederler, bağırsak geçirgenliğini azaltırlar ve doğal öldürücü hücre aktivitesini, makrofaj aktivasyonunu ve fagositozu arttırırlar. Adaptif immünitede ise IgA, IgG ve IgMsalgılayan hücreleri arttırırlar, serum ve bağırsak lümenindeki total ve spesifik sekretuvar IgA’yı arttırırlar, inflamatuvar bağırsak immün yanıtını düzenlerler.
