Reducing Input Harmonics of Single Phase Matrix Converter Operating in Multimode

Öz

The objective of this research was to mitigate the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) present in the input current of a Single-Phase Matrix Converter (SPMC), which can function as both a rectifier and a frequency converter through the adjustment of a singular parameter. To accomplish this objective, a low-pass filter was integrated into the input of the SPMC that had been modeled in MATLAB/Simulink. As a result of the incorporation of this filter, the THD of the input current, both in rectifier and frequency converter modes, was reduced to below 5%. This outcome ensures that the SPMC aligns with the requirements set forth by the IEEE standard 519-1192 and 1159-1995.

Çok Modlu Çalışan Tek Fazlı Matris Dönüştürücünün Giriş Harmoniklerinin Azaltılması

Öz

Bu çalışmada, tek bir parametrenin değiştirilmesi ile hem doğrultucu hem de frekans dönüştürücü olarak çalıştırılabilen Tek Fazlı Matris Dönüştürücünün (TFMD), giriş akımındaki Toplam Harmonik Bozulmanın (THD) azaltılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, MATLAB/Simulink’te modellenen TFMD’nin girişine bir alçak geçiren filtre eklenmiştir. Bu filtrenin eklenmesi ile doğrultucu modda ve frekans dönüştürücü modda giriş akımının THD’si, %5’in altına düşürülerek 519-1192 ve 1159-1995 IEEE standartlarına uygun hale getirilmiştir.
