The Journal of Higher Education and Science (J Higher Edu Sci)  (ISSN:2146-5959) is the official journal of *Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, and published three issues per year in April, August, and December.
Journal of Higher Education and Science does not require payment of an article processing charge for publication.

Aims and Scope

Journal of Higher Education and Science is directed mainly to specialties dealing with higher education, including universities, institutes of technology, research centers and vocational institutions.

The aims of the Journal are to publish articles covering current issues and solutions in Higher Education sectors in Turkey, and World; innovations in education and teaching strategies as well as novel trends and developments in science and technology; to contribute in social and scientific communication; and to be a international and reputable scientific media in our geographic area (including Balkans and Black Sea countries, Middle East countries and Central Asian Turkish Republics).

Journal of Higher Education and Science publishes "Original Articles", "Overview Articles", "Letters to the Editor", "Introductory Articles of Higher Education Institutes", "Meetings and Conference Reports", and "Book Reviews". By decision of Editorial Board Special Issues may also be published.

All contributions are evaluated in a double blinded peer-reviewed fashion by an advisory committee. All articles may be written in Turkish or English, and should include English and Turkish abstracts and key words. For English articles submitted from abroad, editorial committee may translate the abstracts into Turkish.

Open Access

Journal of Higher Education and Science is an open access journal (e-ISSN : 2146-5967), and involved in Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) (http://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/list_signatures). The term open access gives the right of readers to read, download, distribute, copy, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles free of charge. According to the open access policy, peer-reviewed research literature is freely available on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The author(s) and copyright holder(s) grant(s) to all users a free access to articles.

Review of the articles’ conformity to publishing standards in this journal, typesetting, review of English and Turkish abstracts and references, and publishing process are under the responsibility of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (formerly Zonguldak Karaelmas University), and Buluş Design and Printing Company.
The paper used to print this journal conforms to ISO 9706: 1994 standard (Requirements for Permanence).

Environmental Information

The company that manufactures the paper used in this journal has an ISO 14001 environmental management certificate. The company obtains all wood fiber in a sustainable manner. The forests and plantations of the company are certified. The water used in production is purified and used after recovery. Heavy metals or film are not used for the publication of this journal. The fluids used for developing the aluminum printing templates are purified. The templates are recycled. The inks used for printing do not contain toxic heavy metals.
