Life Skills as Predictor of Interaction Anxiety on University Students

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the correlation between interaction anxiety and life skills in university students. The study group consisted of 510 university students, including 302 women and 208 men who have studied at Erciyes University between the ages of 17 and 37. As data collection tools; The Interaction Anxiety Scale and the Life Skills Scale were used. In the study, data’s were analysed by using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, One-Way ANOVA test and T-test for independent samples. According to the findings of the study, there was a negative and medium-level correlation between interaction anxiety and life skills. In addition, students' interaction anxiety and life skills levels were examined according to class level, age range, level of income.
